| Click the name of the sale catalogues you wish to
view and it will open in a new window. You will need the Adobe Acrobat
Reader to view the contents of the file. If you do not have Acrobat
Reader, please follow this link to download the Reader for free: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
The preferred method is to download the catalogues to your computer
rather than looking at it on-screen only. You will have less problems
and the catalogues will be saved to your computer so you can view
it again without having to go through the download process again.
Most rural connections are slower than urban so the download will
take longer to complete.
Some of the larger catalogues are 2.5 MB and could take up to
25 minutes to download. During this time, try to ensure that no
one in the house picks up the phone to try to place a call. Doing
so could cause an error and you may have to start over again. PLEASE
BE PATIENT! You may think it is taking a long time but compare it
to the time it takes to receive a catalogue through the mail!
Instructions:
Make a directory where you will remember where you are going to
download to, for instance "Transcon catalogues". Then save all your
catalogues to that directory.
Right click the name of the catalogue on the website and then
choose 'Save Target As. . .' (Internet Explorer) or 'Save Link As.
. .' (Netscape) from the popup menu. Find the 'Transcon catalogues'
folder in the upper white window. (It will default there the second
time you download.) The sale name will be in the 'File Name' window
so hit 'Save' and it will start downloading to your computer. It
will then show the approx. time it will take to download. When the
download is complete, hit the 'Open' button.
When using Acrobat Reader to view the catalogues, the main buttons
you will use to navigate through the catalogues are on the bottom
of the screen on the left hand side. The left facing triangle with
a line in front of it takes you to Page 1, the left facing triangle
takes you back one page, the white box shows you what page you are
viewing, the right facing triangle takes you forward one page and
the right facing triangle with a line in front takes you to the
last page. Next to the right is the size of the page. The next 3
symbols zoom in or out so you can get a closer look at the page.
The left symbol of the 3 zooms in to view half a page, and the right
symbol zooms out so you view 2 pages on the screen. When zoomed
in, use your scroll bar and/or the up and down arrows on the right
hand side of the screen to navigate the pages.
Printing Instructions:
As these catalogues were designed for viewing, there may be problems
when attempting to print, especially to inkjet printers. Laser printers
will print properly (though some of the pictures may have areas
that don't print) but color pages and pictures will take a very
long time to print on an inkjet and use a large amount of ink. If
you are wanting to print to an inkjet, e-mail transcon@transconlivestock.com and I will e-mail a catalogues direct to you with some of the backgrounds,
etc. removed. |
