 On the heels of celebrating our 40th anniversary and 40 years of Simmental cattle in Canada, Transcon Livestock would like to take this opportunity to officially introduce "The National Trust" . It is designed to become the "must attend" sales event of the year for serious Simmental enthusiasts, featuring cattle from across Canada. The Simmental breeders have listened closely to the needs of the commercial industry and Transcon Livestock has been listening to both. There has been a call for this type of event to celebrate the Simmental breed and its incredible forward momentum in the cattle industry. Is it an original idea? Heck no. "Red Round Up" has filled this very position for the Red Angus breed for 35 years. By modeling around this hugely successful sale, Transcon Livestock is poised to build "The National Trust" into the Simmental sales event of the year.
On October 19th 2008, Red DeerAlberta will host the first annual "National Trust" Simmental sale. Transcon Livestock has chosen to develop a sale that will bring the nation's Simmental breeders and their pride to a common ground for one powerful sale. The "National Trust" will be held the day following the energy of the Red Round-Up and it is with the utmost of respect that we hope to model this great event.

When you step back to realize how much forward momentum the Simmental breed has gained within the cattle industry, you would be fooling yourself to think just one sector has done it all. It has been a combined effort.
